LC Travel Journey - Phuket

It was my first time visiting Phuket from 15-17 August 2011. Travelling is my hobby and I am usually do it alone since my family are working in Jakarta, Indonesia. Knowing that it may complicated travel alone to Phuket at that time, I browsed internet and found EasyDayThailand can be solution for that. I contact Diego via Skype and he arranged in the best way so that I can travel from one place to another easily.

I shared my itirenary here:

Monday, 15 August 2011:

From Bangkok I took early morning flight to Phuket. After arrived, the driver was ready picking me up from Airport. From there we went to Chalong Temple to see  the most famous temple in phuket

After that I visited Big Buddha as one of the island's most important and revered landmarks

I continued the journey to Promthep Cape as southernmost part of Phuket to see another view point of beautiful Phuket

From there, I checked in to Patong Beach Lodge Hotel, a budget class in strategic location and met Diego to clarify the final itirenary. Then I enjoyed sunbathing in Patong Beach by just walking 10 minutes from the hotel

Then I went back to hotel and spent my first amazing night by watching Phuket Fantasea as theme park with magic and cultural shows located in Kamala Beach. I got golden seat so that I can enjoy the best view from the show. It was amazing!

Tuesday, 15 August 2011:

On the second day, I spent almost one day in Phi – Phi island via group tour. We went there with speed boat from Chalong bay and took about one hour and 45 minutes to get to Phi Phi Island. First stop was to Maya bay then visited monkey. We had lunch at Phi Phi Don then one the way back to Phuket, we stopped at Koh Kai. I felt very happy during the journey with the groups so that I didn’t feel lonely J

On the second night, I watched Simon Cabaret which is quite near to hotel as a spectacular musical floor show performed by the world famous "ladyboys". It was great and funny performance. Four Thumbs Up!

Wednesday, 17 August 2011:

That was my last day in Phuket. But I enjoyed every single time especially on my first private trip to dream island, Phang Nga Bay. We dropped to Sam Chong pier where a local boat already waiting to take me to famous James Bond's island, Hong Island and other beautiful places around. The private guide was very nice and helpful. Fortunately we both like photography so we can discuss many things.

We back for lunch in Sam Ching Sea food where lunch has been organised for me. Seafood menu was really delicious so that I felt quite full. For the last shot, I visited the Sawan Kuha Temple as a cave temple with a large reclining Buddha statue inside.

From there, I dropped to airport to go back to Jakarta. It was pleasure for me having EasyDayThailand arranging this first trip

Hopefully I can come back to Phuket as soon as possible, since I haven’t explore the other island especially snorkeling in Racha Yai

Cheers

Thank God I already reserved the tickets online (thanks to Bos Yudi Rizkiadi for helping) so I could enter the place easily
Although lil bit disappointed because the games are not as many as Dufan but lots of photos taken here and I enjoy the last day here
Here are some of the photos of me and the characters

After all, I feel satisfied although I only had 3 days here
Looking forward for the chances to come back again
See you again Singapore

Singapore Trip Day 2

Move ahead to D-2 in Singapore. I love the building architecture which is so vintage and classic, somehow I just want to married here but I think I wouldn't. Ternyata letaknya not too far from Singapore Art Museum. Ini dia fotonya

Next destination is Bugis Junction just for window shopping (once again,ga mampu beli euy). Disini lumayan ngiterin malnya sampe 2 jam-an lebih. And i got the cutest shoot here it is

Ni anak kecil lagi main air critanya, sumpah minta diculik banget saking lucunya. Dan kayanya ini air mancur yg jd salah satu shoot buat video prewednya Kojep si, abis dejavu kaya pernah liat.
After that, langsung ngacir ke the main destination that brings me here which was Shahfik's wedding at Pasir Ris. Suasanya rame, full culture, tp syg ga ktmu anak-anak CAS. Congrats Shahfik and Nadia, semoga saya cepat menyusul kalian.

Setelah itu lanjut ke iconnya Singapore which is Merlion Park, another photo shoot for this place

Then last destination was Esplanade for Classic Music Concert (setelah ga kesampean nonton di aula simfonia jakarta). Banyak juga music show di luar theaternya dan itu amazing banget, very nice
Salah satunya ini
And then going back to apartment and finally Astarina came back from Jakarta woohoo senangnya bisa ketemuan sm tuan rumah setelah skian lama ga ktmu although it was so short karena besoknya dia harus ngantor euy
Well i guess this is the end of Day 2

Singapore Trip Day 1

From 11-13 Dec, I went to Singapore for the first time to take first annual leave (jingkrak-jingkrak walo cuma sehari) and attending Shahfik's wedding (one of my friend from CAS).
Thank God I have Astarina Maulida who works in Unilever Spore who are willing to make me stay at her apartment (with no cost at all). With Air Asia as the best choice of flight based on my very-little-salary amount , I landed safely. The most important thing about Singapore is CLEANLINESS EVERYWHERE
And the taxi drivers are very nice (so I always use taxi wherever I went in Spore, had no time to take MRT and bus)
Took a taxi from Gorgeous Changi to Park Avenue Suites (Astarina's apartment) was easy but the way to reach the place wasn't. From misleading places up to Security' anger to me, finally I arrived in right place for almost one hour. Sumpah mau nangis waktu ga nemu-nemu tempatnya, muali dari nanya orang di halte UE Square, satpam Cina yg sinis, bule baik hati yg mau nganterin ke Office Reception (karena apartemen dan office receptionnya beda gedung *oh damn it*) dan penjaga apartemen yg super nice, gw sampe sujud syukur ketika sampe di kamar asta hoho .
Dari situ gw leyeh-leyeh sejam (very hot weather at that time, Thank God gw ga salah kostum) lalu menuju ke Singapore Flyer, dari sini kita bs liat all view of Singapore, so fantastic
ini dia fotonya

Setelah puas, lanjut ke incident plan buat naik The Duck Tour which is kapal amfibi (yg bs jalan di darat sm di laut skaligus), sumpah seru abis apalagi waktu nyusurin lautnya, ternyata Singapore sangat kecil klo dibanding Jakarta jadi kemana-mana deket deh. Sebenernya gw pengen naik River Cruise tapi gw ga tau terminalnya dimana (maklum anak kecil nyasar sendirian)

Sumpah ngezonk banget ga dpt sinyal bb pake nomer indo.
Then to the final destination which is Sentosa for the Songs of The Sea. Thank God gw dateng pagian jd masi dpt tiket (karena biasanya suka sold out cepet dan gw ga smpt beli online). Nunggunya ag lama so gw juga main-main yg lain sambil nunggu shownya jam 8.40 malem
ini pemandangan di sentosa

ini mainannya

dan ini songs of the sea nya

and then back to apartment - end of day 1

Funny Thing behind the Thank-You-Email

As I promised that I would like to tell about Funny Thing behind the Thank-You-Email that i sent to my first interviewer. I knew this story from my best-partner-in-crime in Accenture which is Daniel Sanjaya, analyst too. Below is my photo with him, cool and super-hilarious-funny-guy-in-office ones

He told me that she showed my email to him and she felt so happy (actually the content of email was so standard ) and finally I met Daniel in same office.

The funny thing that i realize is how unique God can make people meet such in very unique way that it could be happen
Well, I just can't wait for the next funny things which will happen in the office, just like this one

Graduation and (Finally) Accenture

Long time no blogging due to workload (ga juga si sebenernya)
Well I guess to start writing again
Setelah setahun lebih vakum
Just for update that now I am working in Accenture (Global Consulting Company, not a tour agency one) after graduated from Faculty of Computer Science University of Indonesia with not-so-good-but-satisfied-GPA
Ini fotonya

Then gw melakukan 'ritual seharusnya' which is job application everywhere around Jakarta doank si.
Lalu bagaimana saya bisa direkrut Accenture?
Bgini critanya..setelah melalui (i forgot how many times i've been interviewed and tested) berbagai cobaan, akhirnya HR yang bernama Mba Anggri menelpon saya untuk interview setelah mereview aplikasi lewat si referral yg tak lain adalah mantan asdos DDP saya, Furqan a.k.a Enrique.
Interview pertama so far berkutat seputar personal information and education background bersama Ibu Ayesha, salah satu Manager di Accenture. As Furqan suggestion, I sent the thank-you-email as appreciation to her. Cerita lucunya ada disini si sebenernya but i'll tell ya in the next few entries After 2 weeks, Anggri called again for the second interview. I already knew that I had to pass three interview before accepted in company. Second interview with Pri as one of Senior Manager was quite tough. Lots of tough questions I have to answer and I felt scared at that time that I won't pass. I had been waiting again for 1 month and I continued my job journey. After rejection in the company in the building across to the Accenture, suddenly Anggri called for the third interview and I was so happy at that time and my heart said 'This is IT'. So I accept the offering and voila I became Accenturian starting from 1 March 2010 until now as Analyst. So the journey should start from this

Note Ttg Yogya-LC's Hometown Part 1

1. Terban
Disinilah LC tepatnya berdomisili sementara kalo ke yogya gw lupa nama jalannya
yg pasti deket Galeria masuk gang di samping bengkel Tresno, ini rumah punya bude

2. Galeria Mal
Mal yg deket mampus sm Terban ahay,,klo lg nganggur di kosan mah gw naik becak aj kesini, biasanya gw pasti cuci mata dan shoppang shopping disini,,spot fav gw antara lain

Gila banget tapi menyenangkannnnn....
4. Warung Steak and Shake di Jl.Colombo
Walo di jakarta dan depok deket kmpus gw ad,tapi suasananyalah yg beda, jogja bgt deh
(susah diungkapkan dgn kata-kata) pokoknya pewe bet makan di sini
5. Malioboro
Magnetnya yogya si kl gw bilang,,dulu pas masi jaman smp sma gw doyan kesini wat berburu asesoris dgn hrg miring ke mirota batik juga, tapi seiring bertambahnya usia gw,
6. Gramedia deket Terban sama UGM -lupa nama jalannya hehe
Kalo lg hunting buku, gw biasanya naik becak dr Terban ke Gramed ini,ga gt jauh ko

Tips n Trik Menjadi Asdos Programming yang Baik

Setelah chit dan chat sama beberapa temen, gw menyimpulkan saran-saran mereka
supaya menjadi asdos programming yg baik dan sukses (sebangsa tips n trik gt kali ye)

1. Pastikan repositori kodingan rapi dan teratur
Ini sedang gw kerjakan bentar lagi kelar ko hehe

2. Jangan hanya mengandalkan tutorial lab setiap minggunya, kalau asistensi berupa pembahasan teori dan konsep dasar programming perlu dilakukan tiap minggu ya laksanakanlah

mudah diakses mahasiswanya

4. Pembagian asisten terhadap jumlah mahasiswanya harus rasional

5. Keep in touch khususnya terhadap sejumlah anak asdosan sesuai pembagian yg telah ditetapkan

bisalah gw traktir, biar mereka terpacu wat blajar trus

kodingan panjang belibet ditemani sejumlah pertanyaan relevan,,ag2 gmn aj gt katanya, hehe gw jg ms ag trauma dgnucapan ulang tahun buat gw thn lalu berupa kodingan dari seorang teman programmer, kreatip si tapi ttep bikin shock huhu

Finally, kalo kita berhasil (tentunya jika diikuti dgn mahasiswanya yg proaktif smua)
